do you know if the drives are in a raidconfig? it would boost performance alot. If if you feel the computer doesnt live up to its performance ive had a couple of motherboards that came with a switch for hispeed mode and "safemode". it was a physical switch on the motherboard, and performance went up like a 100% when i took it up to hispeed.cpu and ram speed etc was all speedcapped in safemode. First thing that came to mind. It was a MSI motherboard btw.

No, they're not in any raid mode as far as I know, so far I have one empty drive. I'll need a tutorial or something like that to set up a raid.

As for the motherboard switch, I'll have a look the next time I turn off the pc.

I would say its the FX card casuing your issues. Change the game to DX9 mode and see how much it improves. I'm running Core i5 750 clocked at 3.2ghz on stock cooler with a GTX 275 and getting around 40 FPS on max on DX10 @ 1280x1024 That is all on high expect vsync. If i stick DX9 mode it doubles the FPS. If i had seen the post when you made it i would have said get the i5 750 and only getting 4gb of ram as there is nothing out there that uses 8gb atm, then spend the rest on getting a 275 or AMD FX card. Still a nice system you have there though

Kut...

Running it in DX9 makes a massive difference, it's running pretty smoothly with all on high now.

Looks great, I dream of a set up like that, but you might want to consider this http://www.inno3d.com/products/graph...0/gtx_480.html similar prices to the GTX 275 and performing better than the ATI 57** series

That card should be able to play BF2 full whack. My 260 GTX does it.

I would say you still have in issue somewhere causeing it to slow down. Whats the temps like when you are in game?

Also check that in your BIOS you dont have any automatic overclocking on such as turbo boost feathers or anything like that as they tent to cause more problems than its worth.
